I feel that the title is appropriate for the the book given that it is a historical book rather than just a made up name. I can understand why it would be censored in the US because of all the slave and racism history. But I think going as far as to burn the book is not justifiable because they haven't read the book and don't understand the meaning of the phrase.
Other names for the book might include:
My journey
My name is known

Stanley Milgram's Shock Experiment
The Milgram experiment on obedience to authority figures was a series of social psychology experiments conducted by Yale University psychologist Stanley Milgram. They measured the willingness of study participants to obey an authority figure who instructed them to perform acts conflicting with their personal conscience.
This experiment can be connected to the book of negroes because of the conflicting interests of Solomon Lindo and slavery. He is forced to restrict some particular actions and behaviors of his slave Aminata by the government. He knows that it is not morally right but is forced to comply because of the authoritative position of the government.

The Essay
Quick Write: Which essay do you like best? Make sure to explain/support your answer.
The essay I like the best is In the Trenches. This is because this essay had so many descriptive words and sentences that you could actually imagine yourself in the story itself. For example the author used words phrases like the sock is wet with blood. This creates an image in the readers mind and the reader is consumed in the world as if they are actually there in the book. The author also creates suspense in the book by using short phrases which makes you want to keep on reading the book to find out what is going to happen next.

Obstacles
There was a time in my life when I didn't know how to ride a bicycle. I just couldn't seem to get it. I despised the fact that I had to have training wheels whenever I felt like going out for a ride. For that reason i decided that everyday i would find out some time to go and practice without the training wheels no matter how many times I fell I would always get back up. After a week I had got so many bruises that my mom said I should stop going out to practice alone. I didn't want anybody's help because I wanted to do this all by myself. So I continued going out each day until I finally learned how to ride without the training wheels. This changed me because that was the day that i figured out that you could do anything if you just put your mind to it.

First Post
My name is Adrian Onwuchekwa and I am a very athletic person. I like playing sports like soccer, basketball and football. In addition I also like watching movies and just chilling in my bed sipping on some juice or soda. I am not really somebody who likes reading but when I do take time to do so I normally like stories that entail mystery, action and comedy. In english this year i would like to improve on my essay writing skills. This is because it would be very handy in the future because I would like to have to deal with it when I go to college.
